Power outages in West Virginia for Appalachian Power customers continued to climb Friday afternoon to more than 51,000 following more storms that downed trees and lines in multiple counties. Kanawha County had the most outages with more than 11,000 customers without service at 3:05 p.m. Fayette and Cabell counties each had more than 7,000 customers without power. Mingo County had more than 5,200, Wayne, more than 4,800, Logan County, more than 4,300, Wyoming, more than 2,500, and Putnam, more than 1,300.
