As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, more than 8,800 utility customers were without power statewide. Most of the outages in the early afternoon were concentrated in the Lakewood and Jackson areas of Ocean County, with hundreds of additional outages spread out from parts of Hunterdon and Warren counties to the Jersey City area of Hudson County.
