Gusty winds with an Arctic cold front on Friday have caused more than 6,000 customers to lose power in Central Jersey as of 9 p.m. The hardest hit area is Hunterdon County, where Jersey Central Power and Light is reporting more than 3,200 customers without power. The utility is reporting 2,700 outages in Somerset County with 700 out in Hillsborough and 1,400 in Branchburg. Warren has 387 outages. The hardest his communities in Hunterdon are Tewksbury, Bethlehem Township, East Amwell and West Amwell. PSE&G is reporting 7,100 outages in its coverage area.
