Evergy's outage map showed more than 9,000 outages around 4:45 a.m. with most of the outages in Valley Center, south Wichita, and southeast Wichita. Outages are also showing in Reno County with more than 300 between Haven and Burrton and around 100 west of Newton.Midwest Energy is also reporting power outages to many of its customers from Hays to Pratt. However, more than 1,600 are being reported north of Hoisington and about 70 in Pratt.
Victory Electric also reporting power outages last night in Dodge City.
