Oroville East, 95966 California, United States
More than 1,600 PG&E customers were without power in the Oroville area, according to the PG&E outage. Just after 11 a.m., the power was restored. At about 7:39 a.m., 1,656 customers lost power along Highway 162. Customers who live near Lincoln Street and Oroville Dam Boulevard were without power. Some customers who live off Oroville Quincy Highway in Brush Creek and the Berry Creek area were also without power. PG&E said the outage was caused by a guy wire that became wrapped around a power line. Guy wires are support cables that attach to the top of the pole to the ground at an angle to help support the pole. PG&E said a vehicle collided with the guy wire at Olive Highway and Arbol Avenue. Power is estimated to be restored at 11:45 a.m.1 week ago •reported by user-cpjky858
