According to the Blue Ridge Energy outage map, power outages affected about 38,165 customers affecting several counties on Friday morning, September 27 due to Hurricane Helene. Ashe County with 16,016 customers affected, Watauga County with 13,445 customers affected, and Caldwell with 8,704 customers affected. The estimated time for restoration is not available. Crews are working to safely restore power to the area.
