Between Dominion Energy and the Craig-Botetourt Rural Electric Cooperative, more than 3,000 customers are out of power early Thursday morning. Those outages have also affected three schools in the area, forcing Buchanan Elementary, Eagle Rock Elementary and James River High School to all stay closed for the day.
