Strong winds and the storm left about 7,000 customers without power in Siouxland according to MidAmerican Energy. There are reports of trees down across Siouxland. Fallen branches and tree limbs were seen throughout the northside of Sioux City, mostly in the area of 12th and 13th Streets near Jones St. and Jennings St. as well as the Morningside area near Morningside Ave and S. Lakeport St. The latest update from MidAmerican Energy at 7:30 a.m. about 2,000 customers were without power. According to the outage map, other areas affected include Storm Lake with 1,003 customers without power. Des Moines is also severely impacted with 4,352 customers without power.
