The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) issued a boil advisory for Regional Water Rural Water Association customers this (Thursday) evening in five southwest Iowa counties, including Audubon and Shelby Counties. According to state officials, customers in the affected area are strongly encouraged to boil water before consumption due to an issue in the company’s distribution system that resulted in a loss of pressure. Other counties affected by Thursday’s order include rural parts of Pottawattamie, Harrison, and Cass Counties.
