A water main break prompted the Plaquemines parish government to issue a boil water advisory from Civic Drive in Port Sulfur to Fort Jackson on Tuesday. According to parish officials, the water valve will be shut off in order for crews to make repairs.The precautionary notice about the boil advisory will be implemented after repairs and the return of proper water pressure. It will persist until water samples are sent to the state laboratory for examination, and results indicate no issues.
