According to information from the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Drinking Water Program, the state has issued more than 40 reports of E. coli contamination in water systems. The most recent Boil water notices are for customers in Oxford, Hancock, Waldo, and Penobscot counties.
