According to the PG&E outage map, the outage was affecting over 1,600 customers living east and south of Lompoc, along Highway 1 and Highway 246 on Wednesday 20th afternoon. The outage started around 3;23 p.m. and was expected to be restored around 7:45 p.m.

Approximately 2,403 PG&E customers were left without power north of the city of Lompoc at around 9:30 p.m. PG&E has not confirmed the cause of the outage but says they expect power to be restored by 1 a.m. July 4.

About 4-thousand PG&E customers in Lompoc are without power this morning. The outage was first reported just before 6am in the central section of the city. According to crews, the outage was caused by a PG&E power line falling on a city power line.
