More than 23,000 Northern Indiana Public Service Co. customers lost power Wednesday during a fast-moving storm that roared through the region, knocking down trees and wires across Northwest Indiana. By Thursday afternoon, 941 customers in Valparaiso still didn’t have power. Others included 741 Merrillville, o522 in Portage and 467 in Hobart.
