DTE Energy was busy working to restore electrical services after more than 4,100 customers who lost power Monday morning in Rochester Hills. After a significant outage in the northern suburbs, a short while later, hundreds of homes and businesses lost power in Allen Park. The area impacted in Allen Park was just north of I-94 and west of Pelham Road. The bulk of the largest outage was in a single location in Oakland County, north of M-59 and south of Avon Road, in Rochester Hills. The outage is between Rochester and Dequindre roads. By 11:30 a.m., power had been restored to more than half the customers in that area. An early estimate for restoration is 1 p.m. today, Monday, Sept. 12. The power had gone out at about 9:30 a.m. Monday in Rochester Hills. About an hour later, the other significant outage occurred in Allen Park due to an equipment problem, an outage that was expected to be restored by 3:30 p.m. Monday. However, by 1 p.m., the outage had been repaired and electricity restored. The utility also reports two other smaller outages, one in Warren between I-696 and Martin Road, and the second in Oakland Township along Rochester Road just north of Orion Road.1 week ago •reported by user-fybfd487
