T8CCR 1513(a). The employer failed to keep work areas, passageways, and stairs in and around buildings or other structures, reasonably clear from scrap lumber with protruding nails and all other debris, during the course of construction, alteration, or repairs. T8CCR 3203(a). The employer failed to establish and implement an effective Injury and Illness Prevention Program in that the employer did not implement infection control measures to mitigate and prevent the transmission of the Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, including applicable and relevant recommendations from CDC, including, but not limited to: - Enforcing and making it a mandatory requirement for employees to wear face coverings. - Establishing and implementing policies and practices for social distancing. - Protecting employees who have frequent interaction with the public with engineering controls such as Plexiglass screens or other physical barriers, or spatial barriers of at least 6 feet, if possible. - Providing employees with training on infection control policies and procedures: to reduce the spread of COVID-19, general hygiene, symptoms, what to do if sick, cleaning and disinfection, face covers, social distancing, use of PPE, safe work practices and stress management. - Actively encouraging sick employees to stay home and notify their supervisor if they begin exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
