The City of Newton Water Department has announced a temporary water outage this morning for residents living along College Avenue, East Henry Street, Owens Street, Wilson Street, and Barton Street, all from Curtis Street to Wilson Street, plus portions of South Van Buren Street in Newton.

The Water Department expects to have the repair work complete by 12:00 noon today. Once the water service is restored, a boil water order will be in effect until further notice for all of the streets before mentioned in Newton.
