Repairs have been made and testing completed, and officials said customers of the Pamlico County Water System no longer have to boil their water before using it for eating or drinking.

Boiling water before consuming it was advised in the Towns of Bayboro and Stonewall, part of the Town of Alliance, the communities of Maribel, Florence, Whortonville, and Paradise Shores after a water plant malfunction.
