Xiamen, Fujian, GFA Production (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. is voluntarily recalling one lot of Easy Care first aid® AfterBurn ® Cream, 0.9 g single-use packets. The single use packets are sold in boxes of 10 or packaged in certain First Aid kits. This recall is to the consumer... See More level. FDA analysis found the product to be contaminated with Bacillus licheniformis, and Bacillus sonorensis. The product was distributed nationwide to retailers from March 4, 2022 through December 12, 2022. To date, GFA Production (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.

Risk Statement: In immunocompromised patients, the topical use of the contaminated Easy Care® AfterBurn® Cream 0.9g single-use packets could potentially result in severe or life-threatening adverse events such as bacteremia, sepsis, and peritonitis. In non-immunocompromised patients, the population most likely to use the product, the use of the defective product may result in infectious complications, for instance skin infections, but in this population the infections are expected to be less severe and more readily responsive to treatment.

The Easy Care first aid® AfterBurn® Cream 0.9 g single-use packet, is used as an over the counter first-aid treatment for minor burns. The single use packets bear lot number W06I28 and are  packaged in boxes of ten or included in the certain First Aid kits named below.  

The lot number of the single use packet can be found on the back of the packet.  The lot number for the First Aid Kit that contains the single use packet can be found on each kit, either on the product hang-tag or on the bottom of the kit.

Refer to the images below for guidance on where to find the lot code details.  If your product does not have a lot code that is listed in the below table then it is not part of this recall and can be used as intended.

FDA testing found some product to contain elevated levels of yeast & mold and may contain the bacteria Bacillus cereus.... See More Allergy Bee Gone for Kids Nasal Swab Remedy, lot # 2006491, was distributed Nationwide to wholesale distributors, retail stores and online on Amazon.com and the company web site. Buzzagogo, Inc. places the utmost emphasis on patient safety and product quality at every step in the manufacturing and supply chain process.

Risk Statement: In immunocompromised patients, the use of the affected product could potentially result in severe or life-threatening adverse events such as bacteremia/sepsis, pneumonia, invasive fungal rhinosinusitis, or disseminated fungal infection. In non-immunocompromised patients, the population most likely to use the product, the use of the defective product may result in infectious complications, for instance bacteremia or noninvasive fungal rhinosinusitis, but in this population the infections are expected to be less severe and more readily responsive to treatment. To date, Buzzagogo, Inc. has not received any complaints related to microbial concerns or reports of adverse events related to this recalled lot.

The product is used to lessen seasonal allergy symptoms and is packaged in individual tubes for topical nasal application. The affected Allergy Bee Gone for Kids Nasal Swab Remedy lot is 2006491 with expiration date 8/2024 and UPC code 860002022116. The product can be identified by locating the lot number and expiration date on the bottom of the product carton.

Buzzagogo, Inc. is notifying its distributors and customers by email and is arranging for return or replacement of all recalled products. Consumers, distributors or retailers that have Allergy Bee Gone for Kids Nasal Swab Remedy, lot # 2006491, should stop using the product, and discard any remaining product.

Consumers should contact their physician or healthcare provider if they have experienced any problems that may be related to using this drug product.

I received a phishing email claiming to be “Malwarebytes” offering me a 3 year subscription that a) doesn’t exist and b) I never bought, and attempted to charge me over $400 including tax.

The phishing email had the phone number: 888 889-2916, which is not Malwarebytes’s official... See More support number.

The originating email does not have malwarebytes. com, the phone number is incorrect, and I never purchased malwarebytes premium. The actual malwarebytes offering is called “plus” and not “premium”, and malwarebytes does not offer a 3 year plan option, only monthly, annually, and 2 year. Even if malwarebytes did offer a 3 year plan, the total would come out to roughly $297 and not $399, since the annual option is priced at 99.99 on Malwarebytes’s website.
